Review Quality
Businesses with higher review authenticity scores and more verified consumer reviews rank higher organically.
Profile Completeness
Businesses with complete profiles (photos, hours, menus, descriptions) rank above incomplete listings.
Recency & Activity
Active businesses that update their deals and events regularly signal engagement and rank higher.
Geographic Proximity
Location-based searches prioritize businesses closest to the searcher's location or specified city.
Subscription Plan
Growth and Scale plan subscribers receive enhanced visibility features as part of their paid plan benefits.
Paid Advertising & Sponsored Content
Sponsored Listings
Some search results and homepage slots are paid sponsored placements. These are labeled 'Sponsored' clearly in the UI.
Direct Blast Campaigns
Direct Blast is a paid advertising product that sends promotional messages to opted-in consumers. Direct Blast campaigns are subject to review and approval.
Featured Placement
Businesses may pay for featured homepage or category placements. These are separate from organic search rankings and are clearly labeled.
No Pay-to-Verify
Verification status is never purchased. No business can pay to receive or retain a Verified Independent badge.

Organic Listings
Verified businesses receive a base organic listing at no charge for consumers to discover. Organic placement is determined by ranking factors above.
Plan-Based Features
Paid subscription plans (Starter, Growth, Scale) unlock additional platform features for businesses — not fake rankings or fake reviews.
Consumer Experience
Consumers always see clearly labeled sponsored content separate from organic results. We never blend paid and organic results without labeling.
Spotlights, Legends & Awards
Spotlight™
Monthly spotlight nominees are generated algorithmically based on ratings, reviews, and activity. Winners may be selected by public vote.
Local Legends™
Local Legends awards are community-voted. Any verified business may receive nominations. Momz & Popz does not sell award status.
Badges
Earned badges (e.g., Top Rated Gem, Eco-Friendly) reflect business characteristics. Some badges require a fee to display as a premium trust signal.
No Pay-to-Win
Businesses cannot pay to win awards, receive higher review scores, or obtain false verification status.
