Our Commitment

Momz & Popz is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

We view accessibility as an ongoing effort and regularly review our platform for compliance issues.

What We're Doing

Providing sufficient color contrast ratios throughout the interface
Ensuring keyboard navigability for all interactive elements
Using semantic HTML to support screen reader compatibility
Including descriptive alt text for images and icons
Designing mobile-responsive layouts for all screen sizes
Providing text alternatives for non-text content
Avoiding flashing content that could trigger seizures
Ensuring form inputs have clear labels and error descriptions

Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some areas of our platform are still being improved:

Some third-party embedded content (e.g. maps, videos) may not be fully accessible.
Older business-uploaded images may lack alt text β€” we are working to address this.
Some complex interactive components (e.g. modals) are being audited for full screen reader support.

We are actively working to resolve these limitations.

Technical Standards

Momz & Popz is built using modern React and follows accessible design patterns including:

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA β€” our target conformance level
  • ARIA attributes β€” used where native HTML semantics are insufficient
  • Focus management β€” visible focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Responsive design β€” compatible with 200% browser text zoom
